Great Weekend for Fever United!
Superbowl was fun, but what an awesome week-end for our Club teams! We had six teams competing in three tournaments around the area on Saturday and Sunday. And they all gave the level of performance that’s putting us on the map. Here’s what happened:
’00 Girls Red-Penn- Played in the “Fever United Spring Round Robin” and won 2 scrimmages 3-0 and tied once 0-0. These young ladies are looking for a strong Spring season and are headed for Lake Highlands this year.
’04 Girls Black – McGregor – Played their little hearts out. This is one of our start-up teams fighting to survive and they put on a super show this week-end. It will come folks—-hang in there. Played in the PrimeTime Winter Blast tournament.
’05 Girls – Smith – Excellent showing. Coach Smith has this team headed in the right direction. We expect great things from this group. Played in the PrimeTimz Winter Blast tournament.
’05 Boys – Phiri- These guys took 1st place in the Futsal Tournament at Sportsplex. Coach Phiri has come in and moved these guys to front of the line in a very short time. Well done young men!
’02 Girls Red – Penn – These ladies didn’t lose a match in the Legacy Freedom Cup, but missed out on advancing by one goal allowed! Seems a shame, but those are the rules. Congrats ladies. We’re proud of you!
’03 Girls – Phiri – Oh so close in the finals! Our young superstars finished 2nd in the PrimeTime Winter Blast.
’04 Girls – Penn – What a thrilling end to their play. Overtime….. shoot-out……… Fever girls win 3-2! What a way to win to the Championship in the Legacy Freedom Cup! (Liverpool tournament)
Like I said, an awesome week-end for Fever United players and coaches. But also like I say, it all starts with parents. None of these young folks could get to practice, make the matches, games or invest the time and money………without you. Thank-you folks for all you do to allow your kids into the Fever Family.
