Congratulations to Reyna Riojas who was recently selected as a member of North Texas Soccer Association ‘99 Youth Olympic Development Program (ODP). Reyna joins Jaelyn Clark, both members of the 00G team as Fever United’s first two ODP players.

In year two of select soccer, the North Texas Soccer Association holds tryouts for the ODP program and is open to anyone. Traditionally, North Texas tryouts are some of the most competitive with over 200 girls per age group competing for about 80 roster spots. As members of the ODP program, both Reyna and Jaelyn train twice a month with some of the best coaches and players in our region. They also get a chance to compete in Regional and Sub regional tournaments against other states in our region with an opportunity to be selected for the Regional ODP team which travels and competes nationally. This past summer, Jaelyn was selected to attend the Regional 3 camp at the University of Oklahoma where she represented Fever United Well. In addition, majority of the players of the U.S. Women’s National Team have had ODP experience.

Congratulations ladies and continue to work hard!!!

Definitely an accomplishment to be proud of. I feel bad that they must endure the ramblings of inferior coaches, as they are already training with the best coach in the Metroplex. (See the above photo) :)
