FEVER UNITED 11B DEARMAN

Quote the Coach

Our 2011 team is made up of a group of kids who are excited to play soccer and to learn together.  We have committed parents who are supportive of not only the players but each other. Coach AJ Strives to develop each player's technical ability, tactical ability, psychological qualities, and physical qualities. Our team doesn't believe it is enough to just win games. They strive to be better players who understand what they are doing while forming qualities that will make them an overall better person.  They support one another and work together on every level.

We are currently playing 7v7  in the Primetime League. We are looking to move up to 9v9 for the Fall of 2020 staying with Primetime. Our team also plays indoor at Blue Sky Sports Center in Keller. Our practices are held in Keller on Mondays and Wednesday evenings from 5:30pm-7:00Pm.

Open Practices

We would like to welcome any 2011 Boys who are interested in becoming a part of our team to come out to a practice or Zoom session with us.

We have started In-person practices with a limited amount of players, social distancing, and limited time. Our Coach is also offering two additional practices a week that are run via Zoom.

To attend please email either Coach Aj or Yadira Maust. You can also text or call.  We look forward to meeting new faces and seeing if our Fever team is the right fit for your family.

Finding a New Way

In it Together

We've traded in buckling seatbelts to logging online!  Covid-19  has brought about some challenges and a new normal for our team.  What is Soccer if not for the challenges. There will always be challenges that you have to overcome and this has been a great learning experience for our players. Coach AJ has taken the initiative with his team by creating skill videos for the players to do at home, purchasing additional training materials at no cost to parents and holding Zoom practices three times a week. If that wasn't enough he has also attended birthday parades and hosted team moral meetings/lunches via Zoom.  He's chosen to take this time to teach the players not only skills for soccer but also in life.

Our players can't wait to hit that field again but until the Governor and our club give the all-clear we're working hard via Zoom.  We're following all protocols and taking all necessary steps to ensure that we can help by doing our part to flatten the curve. Tough times will always give you an opportunity to rise and during this global pandemic, we as a team have risen.  Together we will get through this. The sun will shine again,  fields will be lined once more, uniforms will once more carry grass stain badges but until then we'll stand together on the screen.  Always Fever strong and always following our Coaches lead.

Spring 2020

Team Dearman

" You have to fight to reach your dream. You have to sacrifice and work hard for it. " Lionel Messi

Come out and watch us this Spring Season as we play in Primetime's Soccer League.  We are Fever. We are Proud. We work hard. We Never give up.  We Never back down.

We Are Fever

Ohana

What does it mean to be a part of our team or Fever in general?  Let me give you an insight. It has been a wet few days and our fields are not play ready. With Coach AJ and Fever we follow a famous saying.  In Lilo's words, from Lilo and Stitch, it's Ohana. Ohana translates to Family; In a Family, no one gets left behind.  We've been practicing on indoor fields and the boys have gotten to share the field with their fellow Fever Players. In this photo, we had a combined Practice with the 2011B Smith team.  Our coaches worked side by side with both groups of boys. They were all mixed together and they learned to work with new teammates and help each other out. This is what It means to be a part of not only our team but all the teams with Fever. You're never alone, you're never out of options and you belong to a family who has a common goal of success on and off the field.

Spring Into Action

Never Stop Working

It's the start of  THE FUTURE Spring training camp. The first day may have started off as a cold and rainy day but like its name the future is bright.  The remaining days were bright and the kids had the opportunity to work with different Fever coaches.  They worked on foot skills, agility training, field positions/tactics, and played various scrimmages.  They partnered up with different players from the Club and some guests as well.

This camp was a combined club effort with various coaches on the field giving each player a great opportunity to be coached by each of them throughout the day.

Time might have gone back an hour but these boys stepped on the field ready to learn and do the work.  We can't wait to see the knowledge they gained used on the field. Remember the Future is bright when you have the right people, mindset and aren't afraid to put in the work.

Put me in Coach

All for One, One for all

All for One, One for all

Even the rain and a closed field couldn't keep these kids from Practicing. They came out to a different location at a different time. The boys lit that field on fire doing some drills and 4v4 scrimmages with Coach Smith's 2011 Boys Fever team.  You've got to love how dedicated these kids are to one another and soccer. One Team, One purpose! #FeverProud

I've Got You

Always here for you

Our fields were closed today and with a busy schedule this week, Coach AJ let the kids have the night off. While these things happen one thing that sets Coach AJ apart from others is that he always likes to give the kids and parents a plan B. If you're willing to do the work he's always willing to be there for you. So, today he held a  free skills practice for those who could make it out.

A big thank you to the parents who brought their kids, those who picked up other team members, the kids for putting in that hour and a half of extra work on their day off and Coach AJ for always being there for his Team. We appreciate you!

Supporting our Coach

These two boys from our team were able to cheer on Coach AJ and see some amazing moves from all our Fever coaches this Sunday night. This is such a great experience. They're able to see teamwork, how to handle referee calls, positioning and why footwork is important. Our coaches all do such an amazing job relaying good sportsmanship and the love of the game. During these games, they're able to see their words put into action.  We have a couple more weeks of games if you'd like to come out and support them!

Can't Stop Us, We Never Quit

Our kids are doing such an amazing job playing indoor at Blue Sky Sports Center in Keller.  They have been working hard on their footwork and love to use their skills on the turf!  These kids don't know how to give up and push hard each game. We may not always get the Win but these kids get up and push themselves even harder. Feel Free to stop by one of our games and cheer us on! Let's see that Fever Nation Love!

That's a Wrap

T-E-A-M

We've finished our indoor 2019-2020 Season. It was an amazing indoor season. The amount of growth that this team showed was just outstanding. Each week you saw the boys growing and developing. They not only grew skill-wise but also as a team.  We were able to see them create a bond that will, in the long run, help them to get through tough losses and celebrate wins. They have set the foundation for a successful outdoor season and we can't wait to see what the future has in store for these kids. We ended up taking 3rd overall in our division but in our eyes, we won it all.  We came in with a group of players and ended the season with a TEAM. Sometimes it's more about the journey and appreciating where the road will take you.  Congratulations to all the teams and in our division. It was a great indoor season with some amazing competition.
